Guidance Counselors and Individualized Guidance
At Brock Academy, experienced guidance counselors are crucial for student success. Before students enroll in programs, counselors conduct the Prior Learning Assessment &
Recognition (PLAR) process. PLAR assesses the academic capabilities, unique interests, and future ambitions of students. This assessment helps create personalized educational journeys
for each student.
Brock Counselors have extensive knowledge of post-secondary options and offer valuable guidance. They explore different pathways and help students make informed decisions.

Brock Academy English Language Program
Recognizing that language proficiency is crucial for students’ success, we offer a robust English as a Second Language (ESL) program. Our highly qualified Canadian teachers assess each student’s language proficiency level, determining if participation in the ESL program would be beneficial. The program comprises five high school-level courses, accompanied by regular assessments at each level. Successful completion of the ESL program equips students with the necessary skills to seamlessly transition to the regular high school academic program. It is important to note that not all students will require completion of the ESL program.
English Language Proficiency Testing
We understand the significance of English Language Proficiency testing for university admissions. To ensure our students are well-prepared, we provide comprehensive guidance and preparation specific to the English Language Proficiency tests required by their prospective universities. We assist students in navigating tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, and CELPIP, both in Canada and internationally.
Additional Support Initiatives
At Brock Academy, we employ a continuous assessment approach within the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) curriculum. Rather than relying solely on one final test, ongoing evaluations allow us to identify areas where students may need additional support, ensuring their continuous improvement.
